Metrus Announces New Project with Masonic Homes Kentucky

Feburary 6th, 2020

Metrus Energy has announced a $1.5 million Efficiency Service Agreement (ESA) with Masonic Homes Kentucky. Masonic is a multi-site aging care company providing a full continuum of care and residential lifestyle options for people of all ages. The project scope will include LED lighting and occupancy sensors, water efficiency measures, BAS upgrades and chiller replacement and controls at Masonic’s 82-acre campus in Louisville.

The efficiency measures will address deferred maintenance and improve the comfort and sustainability of Masonic’s communities. The project will include more than 24 of the buildings on the senior living campus, 11 of which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

“Masonic Homes Kentucky values innovation, especially when those innovations can have an impact on those that we serve,” said Masonic Homes Kentucky CEO J Scott Judy. “Our partnership with Metrus will bring efficiencies and a more comfortable environment to the 700 or more residents who live at and enjoy our Louisville Campus,”

The project will generate an expected annual savings of $192,000. The annual CO2 reduction will be approximately 945 tons as a result of a 1.14 million annual kWh reduction.

Metrus partnered with Siemens, which will provide engineering, construction, and ongoing measurement and verification services.
