How service-based infrastructure funding works.

Energy as a Service removes the upfront capital barrier to replacing aging mechanical systems. We provide the financing, replacing a significant upfront investment with planned service payments and helping preserve funding for other priorities.

Energy efficiency projects are funded through verified energy savings ("pay for savings"). Larger mechanical projects—including central plants, chillers, boilers, and other cooling and heating infrastructure—are funded through measured system performance ("pay for performance").

We finance, own, and manage the equipment and work with our partners to deliver projects from development through implementation and long-term operations.

Whether the project includes energy efficiency or cooling and heating (or both), Metrus guarantees performance and assumes all project risk.
